I came across a group in my Pandora.com browsing last week you should be aware of. The Avalances is everything about live vinyl turntableism that you want. Equal parts rev you up and chill you out, their 2000 release “Since I Left You” has been in rotation on my iPhone for a solid week.

Radiohead, The King of Limbs

I’m still personally resolving whether I like or dislike the new Radiohead album The King of Limbs. It feels uniform from track to track, but ironically scattered in its playing style. There’s definitely the feel of the drone, and Thom Yorke’s vocals are as falsetto as ever. The drums feel more shuffly (if that’s a word) than ever, almost frentic at times. I still wish for more of those arena-scaled rock moment of past albums, the anthem level tracks.

If you’re a die hard Radiohead fan you’ve probably already picked it up.
