The other day I was in the mood for an afternoon cup of coffee. Our in-office brewers makes a full pot, but I only had a few scoops of Starbucks (leftovers from a previous brewing) in my office.
I decided to go all MacGyver on that cup and make my own mini brewer.

That’s creative. I’d love to know the process it took to make that…

It involved me sticking my finger through the bottom of a syrofoam cup, stuffing a full size filter into it, and slowly pouring hot water (from the tap of our in office coffee maker… I assume used to make hot tea) into said filter. Mmm.

i dig it. much like a chemex; just starting using one a few weeks ago, and definitely my new favorite brew method (total coffee geek).

I wonder how it would have turned out if you’d gone MacGruber instead…

karl – Will’s chemex inspired this idea… but he wasn’t around to help me brew it this time. And Jared, thanks for getting the MacGruber theme song in my head.

I’m a chemexer for life now. Slow pour…….slow pour.
