iPhone alarm clock app

1

I know the iPhone already includes a very robost alarm feature… I’m reminded of that every morning… but this alarm clock app by DreamSurface is a tempting thing of beauty. It’s clean, integrated, pulls in web radio and the weather, and is just beautiful.

Now, I’ll say with my stock alarm plugins, but it does provide a tempting alternative.

  • This is neat.

I created an AppleScript that will turn up my MacBook’s volume, wake me up, tell me the weather, and start playing an iTunes playlist called ‘Alarm.’ It’s really neat, but my varying wake times make it inconvenient for me to set my power settings (so that the computer will wake up for the alarm) and iCal events every night. Anyway, when I do happen to set it, it works very well. The maximum volume ensures that I make a half-awake sprint to my desk to turn it down. By then, I’m awake enough (usually) that I won’t go back to sleep.

Anyway, this might be a better solution for me, since it looks like it doesn’t require as much effort to configure.
