Exodus, in two parts

I didn’t post the opener for our current series, Exodus, until I had both parts complete. This, the first version of the open, was designed at over a minute to enable our multisite campus the time to transition the full-sized stage screen down. A minute is normally a long time for an opener / transition. In the end it does work, but the pace feels a bit “lounge-y”.

Round two, below, has much more energy, a little “oomph.” The soundtrack is Nightmares on Wax’s “Be There” from “Thought so…”. Overall it’s more beat driven, shorter, and based on a primarily green (as opposed to the white) background. I added a little more ramp to the colors so it didn’t appear quite as flat. I do like that it utilized a few jump cuts to boost the energy a bit. I rendered a couple of new sequences to smooth out some draggy parts of the original. Also, I think that the dips to black really work. Take a look for yourself.
