Radiohead in Charlotte
I secured my Radiohead tickets this morning for the Charlotte, NC show. Even as I logged in minutes after the tickets went on sale, the only available slots were for the lawn on the outside. Do I need to bring binoculars? I’m sure there will be enough IMAG to keep me pulled in.
I did spring for the priority close parking, which should be a treat.
This is a dream come true, Radiohead has been on my top 10 list of shows to see for quite some time. What are some of the others? These are just a few off the top of my head
- The Flaming Lips
- DJ Shadow (DONE!)
- The Smashing Pumpkins (JUST MISSED THEM)
- Daft Punk
- Thievery Corporation
- The Foo Fighters
- Led Zeppelin
- Fatboy Slim
Again, this is the short list, complied from the top of my head. If they all the iPhone into the concert venue (does anybody know if they do that?) you can be sure I’ll Twitter-cover (and Flickr cover, too) the show. Look out!

I too logged on at 10:00 AM this morning and ended up with lawn seats in Charlotte. Oh well – I’m with you, they are one of my top shows to see so I can’t complain. I’m guessing all of the lawn is first come first serve? Is it still reserved seating? Do you know?

I logged on too at 10:00 AM and got lawn as well. It kind of sucks but I am still excited. I have been to the ampitheatre before and from the lawn my suggestion WOULD be to bring binoculars. Don’t let that discourage you though. You probably just couldn’t see Thoms pretty little smile without them. I also got premier parking, FOR THE WIN! I am so excited and it’s all I’ve thought about today.

along with binoculars, bring a blanket.

The lawn seats are first come first serve. Get there early so you aren’t looking at a column for the entire show. There are several IMAG screens set up, but you can’t seem the very well until after dusk. The sunset washes them out. So binoculars and a blanket are a good idea.

I ended up with extra tickets cause some friends of mine cheaped out on me.
They are reserved seats. I just went to Charlotte this past summer and there is a big difference between the reserved seats and ones that aren’t.
I’ve got them on sale at cost on ebay. They cost me about $73 a piece after the ticket fee, convenience fee, etc.
