Meg and I watched Babel tonight. I feel like I should be smarter, but I’m just really confused (nice cinematography, however). Maybe I’ll understand it when I wake up tomorrow.

I’m really sorry that you were among those who have seen Babel. We watched it several weeks ago and I’m still trying to figure out the entire movie. How it won awards, I will never know. In my opinion, that was the biggest waste of my time ever! Horrible movie!

Yeah… Didn’t care much for it either… The point seemed to be that life can suck no matter where you are in the world.

All about the Tower of Babel. I wish there was a clue here, but I’m still not sure what’s going on.

Nice play on words there Ken. Babel = Confusion
The movie kept my attention, and though it wasn’t the happiest of subjects, I think it was a nice illustration for Ecclesiastes 9.16

Ok… I was confused for quite a long time and still sorta am, but…. I do think that it is a good representation of how lives intersect! But I do feel like I should be smarter!!

Ken, I bought a “copy” of Babel b/c i’m living in the middle east and it seemed that the movie was in line with an international CRASH type of film taking place mostly in an area not too far from me. I liked Crash – it was a tough film, but a real film. Imagine my furrowed brows when Babel wasn’t really about anything except a confused timeline and the fact that interpreters do exist in this world but none could be found for the storyline.
i threw it out.
incidently, the title should have been Corinth for all the unnecessary sexual content.
2nd reason i threw it out.
