prayers appreciated

Tonight our family drove to Abbeville, about an hour from here, to see my grandmother in the hospital. She had a stroke today and isn’t expected to make it more than a few days, if even tonight. At this point, she’s unconscious, but is in no pain. This the first grandparent I’ll have lost.

I would especially appreciate your prayers for my family. Grandmama is a Christian, and one of the Godliest influences in my life. I’m assured of where she will spend eternity. And she’s leaving a legacy behind with her family. No sorrow here, but it’s still a strange feeling to realize that the next time I see her will be in heaven.

  • I’ll be praying for y’all. I was just there, and it’s tough to see someone that was such a Godly influence pass away, despite the fact that there’s no doubt where she stood with Christ.

Let me know if there’s anything I can do.

  • Be assured God is in control here. I can rejoice with you because I KNOW where all my family are going to be. Still it is hard to give them up here on earth. Kristie and I will remember you all in our prayers.

It is hard no matter how old you are. I lost my first grandmother at 7 and the latest to pass on was my grandfather in October. If there is one thing that I have to say to you it is that God is completely in control. Even when it seems that we are in a tailspin, He knows that He is right by your side and that you trust Him. Let us know if you need anything and we are praying hard for you… love you bunches!!

  • Ken,

I saw Jason last night and he told me about your Grandmom, and then reading Perry’s blog I saw the story again. I want you to know Consie, the family and I are praying for all of you guys. If we can do anything for you or the rest of the family please let us know. It is awesome to see true love even after so many years. My grandparents were married for 66 and it was a great example to us. Hang in there, and “we got you”.

I was reading Perry’s site and saw where he was telling about your grandma I attend New Spring and it’s a huge “family” and like Perry has said in the past, there is no way to meet every one whom attends, but when I was reading that blog he posted it hurt my heart knowing this has happened, God is control and HE has your back, know HE is the one who will hold your family when they feel like falling, and that he knows what is best. Our God is an Awesome God and I just wanted to let you know you are in our families prayers as well as she. Be strong and pray hard.

My heart and my prayers go out to you and your family.I too go to New Springs and I have been going for 4 months. And through Perry’s preaching I have learned alot about God. I have learned that we have a Awesome God. And I know that God is cape able of anything so again you and your family are in my prayers.
