Rabbit vs. snake vs. the weekend review

3

What a great weekend. It’s be so much fun, and one of the busiest few days of doing nothing in particular. Meg and I kicked it off with a date night on Thursday. Her cousin and his wife babysat for us and Meg and I went out for dinner and coffee. We really should do that more often. And for supper? We tried Red Lobster. Just about everyone I tell that to responds the same way… “Red Lobster? Hm… I haven’t been there in x-number of years.” Tell me, AV Club, when was the last time you went to Red Lobster?

After supper, we ventured to Books-a-Million to browse and enjoy a cup of coffee. I found this along the way? Do you think it’s going a bit far, now?

The next morning, you already read my post about the dentist. After that, I sped home and immediately jumped into the car to take my cats to the vet. They’re not crazy about the vet. One of them (not the one pictured below) requires sedation before the vet will allow her in. Yep, my cat’s been blacklisted from Dr. Hendrick’s office.

Finally, that afternoon I was able to get some work done around the house. G helped me on the lawnmower, we cleaned the cars, and I got the garage in order.

Sunday was particularly awesome. There were a few technical glitches (but, Ken, you’re in a mega church…). You know, even mega churches have some glitches from time to time. I was impressed by the team of production folks and engineers who had us up and running quickly. And we had a new director in the booth today. Yes, the rumors are true… Lord Vader himself was here (I can sense his presence).

And that about wraps it up. For your enjoyable linkage of Monday, please enjoy:

(one to laugh at)
…from my pal Jake (who doesn’t have a blog)… Rabbit vs. Snake. This really speaks to the spirit of tenacity.

(one for the techie / artsy folks)
…why wouldn’t you want to generate a 3D landscape in isometric perspective from the internet?
