J.Davis photos and weddings

4

I like Joshua Davis’ theory on taking lots of unaimed, unsolicited photos. I find myself doing the very same thing from time to time. (to time, to time). There are 100s more (and much stranger) on my iPhoto library on the Mac at the office, where I can easily pull them down from my camera phone. It’s a great source of inspiration, and if nothing else, is just fun.

From time to time, you catch a gem or two.

Unrelated (except that picture number three is of our guy’s night out), we’re starting up Home Group again tonight. We’ve been off for the holidays, and it’s been a nice break, but I really miss our group and look forward to seeing them all again.

And, ooh, here’s some cool news. My friends Paul (who’s blog appears to have lapsed) and Liz are engaged. That’s exciting. And I am honored they’ve asked me to officiate their wedding. It’ll be my first. Are there any pointers?

  • Here’s a tip learned from our senior pastor.
His first wedding, he forgot to seat the people. You know everyone stands up as the bride walks down the asile, the pastor usually says a little blurb and then seats the people….not our senior pastor. He forgot to tell everone to sit so they stood the entire wedding!!!
His wife was quick to point it out to him because she went to the wedding to support him.

  • Don’t look at Liz’s brother who will be in the front row making funny faces (as if I don’t have a funny face already). I am glad you are doing it for them. I have always thought a lot of you Ken. You will do fine. Just don’t accidentally say the word fart like our officiator did (love ya Steve). Ah heck. Say it anyway. It makes for good laughs.
