Nice little time waster, double wires. But you’re home for the holidays anyway, right?

Today, Dad, Jason, and I spent a little time in Abbeville. You may remember from last winter, but each year, we chop firewod for my grandparents who heat primarily through wood burning stove. It’s awesome. And warm. And I get to use an 8 TON log splitter.

I’m currently in love with my garage and have so many plans for it, including a dedicated workbench for my tools, etc. I’d like to implement this.

This weekend at NewSpring… 4 Christmas Eve services over half as many days. Many elements: live acting, videos, live elements into videos, awesome music, poignant message. I’ll write more about it later (or view it online later today). But at the moment, I can share with you:

an open mind is not enough.

This past week, Joe treated me to my first sushi experience. I’m open to most things, and even cleaned my plate. But in the end, even an open mind is not enough for Yellowfin Tuna roll, or raw salmon. I’m told that’s hardcore stuff and I should have kicked off my introduction to raw seafood with something milder.
It’s like starting to drink coffee with espresso. I figured we’d just jump straight in. Anyway, it’s an experience that I’ll not soon forget.

It’s the holiday season, and so I’ve been busier than usual. Sorry for the less frequent posts… they’ll pick back up in frequency and quality I predict in the upcoming year. I spent yesterday at home with my family, 3/4 of which are battling some sort of cold or funk. (boo). Hopefully we’ll all pull out of it by Christmas.
Speaking of Christmas, the Christmas eve services at NewSpring kick off tonight at 4:00 / 6:00, and are also duplicated Sunday at 9:15 / 11:15. Come and enjoy, or check out the streaming video at NewSpring.cc

My good friends the Beatys blessed us with my favorite thing of all time… good coffee for Christmas. Here it is, pictured with a Waldorf Astoria Hotel coffee cup, an antique given to me by PapaRidgeback. It is said that the specific design of this particular cup enhances the flavor of the coffee, and I must say, there is something to that.

This so describes me. Where Shua is about 85%, I’m still hovering around about 70%, but then I’m distracted by kids.
