Turkey Day’s a-coming

It’s Wednesday before Thanksgiving. I’m off today and vacation means (1) rest and (2) time with family. Last night was Guy-night-out at home group. Greasy meat filled dinner was involved, and a much-needed trip to Best Buy. Wes explained the finer points of HD, LCD, Plasma, Blue Ray, HD DVD, oh, and we looked at a video for the Wii. Strange name. Then we returned to the house for an attempt to play Halo 2. That didn’t go quite as good (steep learning curve), but fortunately I’d picked up a racing game at a yard sale that proved to be more equally matched.
Today, I hope to enjoy some true down time. You? I’ll suggest an interesting battery of links for a pre-holiday Wednesday:
- make your own coffee roaster.
- An interactive Periodic Table (there’s probably, like, two of you out there who’ll appreciate it).
- Again, I’ll say go visit XPLSV.TV for some great motion graphics… this is what’s being posting in the community. (My profile is here)
- Finally, I started toying with a little CMS called “Zen Photo” to organize mass quantities of photos. I have a default look on it right now, but thought you’d like to see to progress as it unfolds here.

Played the wii on monday night at our home group. Its pretty awesome. The controllers will take some getting used to, but its a nice change from conventional design.
