So, I had a few minutes before work and spent about half of that flipping between VH1 and the MTVs (and FUSE, but it was scary)… discovering some new music and seeing videos of a few songs I love. The new Snow Patrol song / video was awesome (thanks Lee), didn’t realize Def Leppard rerecorded “Rock On.” Not a bad bass lick. Also, I realized how bad the new Fort Minor single really is… the album is OK, but watching it with the video… ew.
But this is what got me… I love Gnarles Barkley. Very slick single, that “Crazy”. But after seeing the video, I have even more respect for Cee-Lo and Dangermouse. Check it out:
I’m with you on this one. He performed on the MTV Viewer’s Choice Awards. Everyone in his band was dressedup as Star Wars characters. The drummer was Chewbacca, it was very cool.
And, the song is groovy.
it IS SO GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WAS HE BORN IN NZ? OR LITTLE BRITIAN
Gnarles is so tight… his video reflects his unique style and the “get up and move” effect he has on listeners makes him more addicting.
Cee-lo is from a different planet.. He is by far my favorite artist….ever…seriously! He never ceases to amaze me with his different styles and that soul soaked voice. Can you even put his music in a genre??? His poetry is so mf deep that you don’t even need the acid to trip hard on it…His first two albums kick major ass too so if you like this one, you HAVE to listen to “Perfect Imperfections”.
Thanks for the tip, Travis. I’ll look into the other tracks.
