For the uninformed, my iPod died three weeks ago. The click wheel just ceased to click and the device gave up the ghost. Ah well, I thought, it’s still under warranty so we’re good. I went through the required $30 shipping fee (my device was over 180 days old) and after sending it in… I was informed that the dent on my device, that occurred 8 months previous to the device’s death, was cause to void the warranty.
After two weeks and two deeper appeals they decided not to cover my device. I’d given up hope on Apple when, an hour after the final “NO, you’re void on your warranty,” the Apple representative called me back to say they’d changed their mind and have decided to cover it after all.
And today in the mail, my brand-new iPod mini arrived. Just as shiny and silver as its predecessor, and in mint condition.
Apple has earned my trust from here forth and you can now call me a fanatic. Way to go Apple for standing behind your product. Sorry for the “Apple sucks” header from last week. We can still be friends.

He must’ve found out that you had a blog.
Blogs scare customer service.

You amuse me, good sir. But, I’m certainly glad Apple came through for you; and you got a new iPod.
