Underworld: Evolution Review

Last night, the guys of my homegroup went out and the ladies hung out at the Beaty’s place for girl talk and American Idol. We gents decided to catch a movie and the choice was split 60:40 between Underworld:Evolution and Narnia.

I was with the Underworld group being a fan of the first movie. Bottomline review, I agree with the average critics in that it gets **1/2 (of 5). It’s good, but not great. Entertaining. Good visuals (mostly). Decent storyline, but the plot feels overtaken by the action sequences. Oh, and there are two gratuitous scenes where I had to cover my eyes, but thankfully I’d been warned beforehand. (Thanks Creamer).

If you liked the first, just rent the second. You won’t be missing much impact from the big screen, and you’ll save yourself a few bucks.

Now to go back and see that Narnia that everyone’s talking about…

(Note to self: If ever filming a vampire movie, make sure I tint the entire film blue).
